We have a ceremony site!

I just got the email Neil and I have been waiting for!! We were hoping to have the ceremony at the Bayfront Festival Park in Duluth, but we had been "on-hold" for a couple of months now. The original rent was going to be something like $1,000, but the CEO assured Neil that he was going to try and get the price down so we could have the wedding there. And boy did the price go down. The confirmed quote is $50 per hour!!! Can't really beat that price for that location and that awesome space. I'm pretty excited about it! It's really close to Canal Park and it overlooks the lift bridge and Lake Superior. YAY! ok, now time for bed.

Oh, I guess I should say work went well this week. Only 55 hours or so, but I've actually seen Neil and have only been working one job a day so far.

pay day!!

Hi mom, so I finally got paid! Just for one weeks worth of work at the chocolate factory, but it was definitely nice to get some money in the bank. I also got a plane ticket to go to Pittsburgh, PA for my friend Katie's wedding. I'll be going Friday morning and coming back Sunday. It will be fun because I'll get to see many of my friends from Clarion. I miss them a lot!

My job at the front desk is going well. There is more down time, however, my feet still get just as tired. At the chocolate factory, I got to make an 11 pound batch of pecan fudge! I used a huge copper kettle and a gas stove and then had to pour it onto a granite slab and use a long spatula to mix it around to make fudge. I got to take home a sample of it too. It was tasty :)

In the wedding planning news...I've been working so much that I haven't really been able to do anything about it. Since working at the chocolate factory, however, I have two ideas for the head table and maybe around the cake. Either a bride and groom caramel apples or bride and groom chocolate covered strawberries.
